Virtual Console Dreaming: April Fire Emblem Update

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones by Intelligent Systems and Nintendo

This evening, Nintendo revealed that Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones is coming to the Game Boy Advance catalog of Switch Online.

I’ve never played a Fire Emblem (other than the opening of Three Houses) but I know they’re tactical RPGs that play similarly to Advance Wars, so I’m destined to love them. This one featured good pixels and a good overworld map in its brief trailer (already two things it has going for it). HowLongToBeat’s playtime estimate is 24-47.5 hours–which is a lot of video game to have dropped in our laps on a random Monday.

I wanted to do a bit more research so I could tell you where in the timeline this entry falls–but man, I didn’t know what I was getting myself into.

Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones is available to Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass subscribers NOW.

As always, here is my ongoing wish list for the service. There have been no new additions.
