Virtual Console Dreaming: ANOTHER November 2024 Update (Sega Genesis)
What is happening?
Nintendo continues to cut into my week off by adding a trio of games to their Switch Online Genesis catalog and they’re available to play now for Expansion Pack subscribers. I didn’t own any Sega consoles growing up, so they’re all brand new to me.
Wolf of the Battlefield: Mercs is a top-down shooter. Vectorman is a 2D action platformer probably best remembered for its orb graphics (and for some reason, even though they look nothing alike, I always mix it up with Space Harrier). ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron is also a 2D platformer, but I’m more interested in its scavenger hunt inspired prequel (which Wikipedia tells me is already on the service).
This is a reminder to go play Gunstar Heroes.
Here is my ongoing wishlist for Nintendo Switch Online. You’ll be shocked to learn, there have been no changes since YESTERDAY.

While this question is usually meant to drive engagement, here I’m genuinely asking–what is the Switch Online Sega library missing? I have no opinions on it as it currently stands. If they eventually bless us with Saturn and Dreamcast support, expect this list to expand tremendously.
I hope your Wednesday has been breezy, so far.
See you tomorrow?
